The Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor course Certified by Exemplar Global is internationally recognised. You can join the training through online (Live Virtual Training) or through classroom training. This course is delivered across two units and consists of a series of modules which you must complete in full to receive your qualification.
With your qualification, you will become an internationally recognised Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor with a comprehensive understanding of how to conduct and lead both internal and external audits against the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management systems. Assessment & Certification
Workshop Assessment
At the end of each module, you are given the opportunity to complete a non‑graded Workshop Assessment before moving on to your final module assessment. These are marked instantly by the tutor and it will be shared to you so you know exactly which content you may need to review further. You can revise the content and complete the workshops as many times as you like. This gets you confident and prepared to do the final module assessment.
Module Assessments
Once you are confident that you have a thorough understanding of the content you can move on to the module assessment. You are given two attempts for the assessment, after which it is locked for review by a tutor to see how we can best help and support you, review contents, review results, and consult with tutor.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the module assessment, you will receive a Certificate of Achievement (RTP) from HSEPro. The certificate demonstrates competence in the requirements of Exemplar Global.
Prerequisites & Course details
No prerequisites required. The course is designed to take you from foundational knowledge to lead auditor competence.
Online live virtual and classroom learning.
Approximately 32 hours (equivalent to 4 days of full‑time study).
12 months from the date of enrolment.

1. What qualifications will I receive?
You will receive a Certificate of Achievement (RTP) certified by Exemplar Global from HSEPro.
2. Do I need any prior experience in environmental management?
No prerequisites are required. The course is designed to take you from foundational knowledge to lead auditor competence.
3. How long do I have access to the course materials?
You have 12 months of access from the date of enrolment, giving you plenty of time to complete the course.
4. What happens if I fail an assessment?
You receive two attempts at each module assessment. After two unsuccessful attempts, it is locked for tutor review and support.
5. Is this course recognised internationally?
Yes – the certificate is issued by HSEPro and certified by Exemplar Global, an international certification body for auditors. The qualification is accepted worldwide.
6. What is the format of the assessment?
The assessment is a scenario type, invigilated, and completed online as part of the learning process. They are graded, and feedback is provided.
7. Do I need to buy the ISO standards separately?
No – the course content includes extracts from the standards (ISO 19011:2018 and ISO 14001:2015) in the form of clause statements. You do not need to purchase the full standards.
8. How many days can I get the certificate?
The certificate will be prepared within 10 to 15 days from the date of release of the exam result. You will receive an email once the certificate is ready.
9. Can I pause and resume the course?
Yes – if in any point you cannot continue the course, you will have 3 years to complete the training course. If you cannot complete within allocated 3 years, then the training registration will be void and you need to register again.
10. What support is available if I struggle?
Tutor support is available. If you fail an assessment two times, it is locked for review, and a tutor exam result discussion will be provided.
