Day 1: Foundations of Training

    • Roles & Responsibilities: Trainer, assessor, internal verifier.
    • Learning Theories: Bloom’s Taxonomy (Level 3 application).
  • PM:
    • Session Planning: Writing SMART objectives, aligning with Level 3 criteria.
    • Inclusive Practice: Adapting for diverse needs (equality, safeguarding).
    • Activity: Draft a 30-min session plan.
Day 2: Delivery & Engagement
  • AM:
    • Training Methods: Active vs. passive learning, microteaching.
    • Resource Design: Creating handouts, PPTs, and activities meeting Level 3 rigor.
    • Tech Tools: Using virtual platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams) or classroom tech.
  • PM:
    • Communication Skills: Questioning techniques, body language, voice control.
    • Managing Groups: Handling disruptions, encouraging participation.
    • Activity: Deliver 15-min microteaching session.
Day 3: Assessment & Development
  • AM:
    • Assessment Methods: Formative vs. summative, assignments, observations (matching Level 3 standards).
    • Feedback Techniques: Sandwich method, action planning.
  • PM:
    • Self-Evaluation & CPD: Reflective practice, maintaining a CPD log.
    • Quality Assurance: Internal verification, standardization.
    • Activity: Peer assessment of microteaching with feedback.
Assessment (Level 3 Aligned)
  1. Microteaching Session (Practical):
    • Deliver a 30-min session observed by peers/assessor.
    • Assessed against: planning, delivery, engagement, inclusivity.
  2. Written Assignment:
    • Design a full session plan with rationale (linking to Level 3 criteria).
